Which solution is right for you?

Advanced Remediation for Diverse Environments

vRx supports a wide range of operating systems and third-party apps, with patching and other advanced remediation techniques like Patchless Protection™ and a scripting engine. Further, vRx excels in work from home, hybrid, or any other distributed workloads.

Patch Management for On-Prem Environments

ManageEngine primarily focuses on patch management, requiring on-premise devices or VPN access for remote devices, and offers limited remediation methods beyond basic patching. As a result, it leaves a large attack surface as a blindspot.

Features
vRx
ManageEngine
VRX dark logo
vRx is continuously detecting and reporting new vulnerabilities in your environment. Using lightweight agents and an intuitive cloud dashboard, you will always be informed on the current active CVEs in your environment at all times.
Manage Engine does provide vulnerability scanning; however, the coverage over various OS’s and apps is far more limited than what is covered by vRx

vRx goes beyond basic vulnerability detection by analyzing and weighing additional risk factors associated with each vulnerability. From there, the prioritization engine automatically assigns an easy to read risk score so you know where your security and IT teams need to spend the most time and energy.
The prioritization with Manage Engine is also very limited, only checking for common misconfigurations things like “RDP Enabled”.

vRx makes patch management easy. OS and 3rd party app patches are automatically aggregated in vRx for you and are able to be installed on endpoints through one time patches as well as through automations.
Manage Engine includes a patch management component that is compatible with all major OS families. When compared against vRx the 3rd party app coverage in Manage Engine is much more limited.

vRx not only detects vulnerabilities but also has the tools to remediate them. Depending on the nature of the vulnerability, vRx has a corresponding mitigation method available.
Manage Engine also provides different remediation methods for vulnerabilities. The limitation for remediation is consistent with that of their detection, there is no support for Mac and Linux endpoints.

vRx provides several reporting options so you can choose what works best for your organization. Exporting data to external sources like SIEM, Syslog, Ticketing systems is possible as well as downloading executive and granular technical reports.
Manage Engine offers various dashboard based views and analytics as well as downloadable reports. Their dashboard is found to be much more cumbersome than vRx’s.
"Vicarius streamlines vulnerability management between IT & Security by directly linking identified vulnerabilities to required patches, enhancing efficiency. The automation process has saved at least 30 percent of our manual tasks."
